The four skills of leadership are essential to an organization's success. The amount of each varies, and is applied in a different way, based on the level of management. The Vice President level does not need, nor should want, direct control over the front-line workers. Though through planning and organization they can influence the actions of the front-line groups. The Middle Management and supervisors have more direct control of the front-line and is responsible for the leadership of their teams to meet to plans laid out be the upper leadership. When all parts of the organization are working toward the strategic goal of the organization, they can outperform other organizations where there is a disconnect between the goals of the executive leadership and the front-line and middle management groups. Through careful planning an organization can shape its vision and create an outline for how it will go about achieving the goals of the executive group. Establishing the appropriate personnel in all different levels of the organization and having the correct skills at the proper levels can maximize efficiency, output and results. Middle Managers should focus on establishing the correct leaders to motivate and get the most out of their direct.
