A fountain shoots a jet of water 10 m into the air. The fountain has a round nozzle of diameter 1.84 cm at ground level, fed by a pump located 6 m belowground through a round pipe of diameter 5.19 cm. What is the gauge pressureof the water at the pump? Assume steady, laminar flow of water, noviscosity, and no air drag on the water jet. The acceleration ofgravity is 9.81 m/s2. Answer in units of kPa.
