The police officer agrees, and then, while waiting for the attorney to show up, begins talking with his partner about how sad the defendant's family is going to be that he didn't "own up to his crime, like a man." The defendant then makes a statement incriminating himself. At trial, the defendant's attorney challenges the statement, saying that it was obtained in violation of the Constitution. Based on your understanding of this chapter, how is the judge likely to rule? Why?
