Case Study: A team of three people has six tasks available to them. Each person can complete at most one task, and each task can be completed by at most one person. People receive rewards for completing tasks as indicated below. The team would like to assign people to tasks in such a way as to maximize their total reward.

Questions:

1. Formulate a network flow problem that optimizes team's assignment of people to tasks. Draw a picture of of network and provide algebraic formulation defining decision variables, objective function, and constraints.

2. Implement your formulation in excel using solver. What is the optimal assignment of people to tasks? What is the max reward the team can obtain?

3. How would you modify your formulation if person 2 could complete two tasks instead of one? Describe what the modifications would be.
