• The scenario is that your group has run your company for 10 years.

• Based on your past experience and expectations for the future, you are charged with writing a Strategic Marketing Plan for your simulated company for the next 5 years.

• This assignment will require you to do a significant amount of forensic analysis of your past decisions and performance--what worked, what didn't and why.

• You will also need to consider what the future is likely to hold for your industry, where you fit and what the outcomes are likely to be.

• Don't forget to set your targets, evaluation metrics, and plan for implementation.

• Use resources from the Required Reference Materials list to guide you as you develop your plan and prepare your report.

• Your written submission should be prepared in the format of an annual report that would be provided to shareholders.

• The goal is to prove yourself effective managers so that you will be rehired for the next 5 years.

• If you have had good performance over the past 10 years, tell the reader what you are going to do to maintain and perhaps improve. What are the opportunities and threats as you see them?

• Use graphs and tables to present information more clearly and concisely for the reader. Your report should not exceed 30 pages inclusive of all tables, exhibits, and covers. Grammar and spelling count and all referencing should be in APA style format

Requirements

The Marketing Strategy for the last five years is clearly and concisely articulated and fully critiqued, highlighting the successes and explaining the short comings. Changes in strategy over the past 10 years are identified and discussed. The go-forward plan for the next 5 years includes intended positioning, financial, sales and market forecasts. The full strategy is clearly articulated and supported and includes market assessment, the identification of target market(s), marketing mix decisions, and implementation plan and evaluation metrics. Students have shown a high degree of creativity and innovation in the presentation of their strategy and have supported decisions with thorough financial analysis and market research data. You would be rehired as the management team.
