John has a diagnosable illness that requires a certain narcotic drug for its control. Bill, a friend of John's, is a narcotics addict and relies on the same drug that John needs for his illness. Bill tells John that he will pay him twice the cost of the drug if John will get some of it. John agrees and visits his doctor; after John's diagnosis, the doctor gives John a prescription for the narcotic. John takes the prescription to the drugstore and has it filled.
