Genetically Modified foods (GMO = Genetically Modified Organism) have been getting allot of attention in the press. GMO crops have increased crop yields and are able to feed more people. With our increasing world population there is a food shortage in not just third world countries, but industrialized nations as well.

Are Genetically Modified Foods safe and should they be banned in the USA as they has have in other industrialized countries such as Japan? Explore both sides of this topic.
