An After Actions Report (AAR) is a discussion of an event that is focused on the standards of performance that is used to improve strategies for the next task. Organizations and their employees should commit and successfully pursue goals. The mission and strategic development of those goals would become easier to maintain once everyone is on the same page. (Gagne, 2018). In my organization we have something very similar due to the fact that I work for the Department of Army, so of course they would try and implement strategies that they use for the military. Evaluations are important to companies not just for managers to let the employee know what needs to be improved but it’s also for the employee to see where they stand in relation to the goals or mission of the company. The process of AARs would be great for any organization because they are a team and this will help analyze the issues that they might be having and it will show the positive things they have done as well. The purpose is to evaluate and improve. There are some questions that should be asked and answered: 1.What was the purpose of the project? 2.What there anything achieved? 3.What aspects of this project actually worked? 4.If it didn’t work, why is that? 5.What changes would should be made for the future? These questions are a great way for an organization to use and make sure that tasks are being completed. This will assist in the progression of their mission. (Mahal, 2018).
