Much attention has recently focused on the incidence of concussions among athletes. Separate samples of soccer players, non-soccer athletes, and non-athletes were selected. The accompanying table then resulted from determining the number of concussions each individual reported on a medical history questionnaire ("No Evidence of Impaired Neurocognitive Performance in Collegiate Soccer Players," Amer. J. of Sports Med., 2002: 157-162).
