When patients are discharged from the hospital, it is important for the hospital to have an idea of how many are likely to be readmitted within the next month. Research on the Gold Coast has estimated the chance that a discharged patient is readmitted within a month is 20%.

a) Yesterday, the Gold Coast Hospital discharged 100 patients. Use normal approximations both with and without the continuity correction to estimate the probability 25 or more of these discharged patients are readmitted within one month.

b) If we change out focus to readmission within a fortnight, the chance of readmission obviously decreases. If we still want to know the chance at least 25 are readmitted (now within a fortnight), do you thing normal approximation for this is situation will be better or worse than it was for part (a)? briefly justify your answer.
