Amelia and Jacob Tortorella contacted Tinsley Hardscapes Company to install an outdoor patio and new driveway, and to flush out the irrigation system on their property. The total cost of the contract was $23,200 with one-half of the cost being paid before work began. In the process of doing the work, Tinsley's workers noticed a split in one of the twenty-five-foot lengths of PVC pipe in the irrigation system. After a discussion with the homeowners, Tinsley indicated that they could make a repair to the pipe but that it would cost the Tortorellas an additional $900 to fix the issue. Tinsley indicated that the repair would not impact their original timeline to complete the job, Jacob and Amelia quickly agreed to the repair and cost. The company began work on the property and finished the work of installing the patio and driveway, as well as flushing out the system and repairing the pipe. The patio and driveway looked amazing. As Tinsley's company was finalizing the job and packing up their equipment, Amelia asked if there was any reason to be concerned about the irrigation system leaking. Tinsley reported that there should be no further issues even though the company did.
