Fluids are examined.
1) Part A- a raft floats and displaces 4.5 m^3 of water. The volume of the raft id 8 m^3 and its area is 10 m^2. When the tide is low the raft is attached to an anchor. As the tide comes in the water level rises .25 m but the raft is constrained and rise. What is the tension on the anchor.

Part B- If the raft is taken to the Dead Sea where the water density is 1280 kg/m^3 what fraction of the height of the raft will be in the water when it floats?

Part C- What mass of passengers does the raft support before it sinks?
