Question
Humans in Florida are both destroying and preserving our biome. Florida is a sunshine state, and we are known for being a vacation location. Examples of how we are destroying our biome are overfishing, boating, and urban development. Boating is the most popular activity in Florida followed by fishing. Boating activities have caused direct injuries to manatees which are caused by propellers and anchors that have scratched across delicate coral formations. Fishing is not a problem the problem is when we overfish because it depletes species and disrupts the food wed. The main problem destroying our biome would be urban development. Florida's population has grown significantly and increased the amount of construction development which is a result of the destruction of natural habitats and more water population. Thankfully there are way more actions taken to preserve our biome in Florida than the actions that are destroying our biome. Examples of protective actions are Laws and protective programs like Land protection, restoration projects, and wildlife corridors.
