Be sure to express your thoughts thoroughly for each of the following questions. I would anticipate and expect more than just a review of the circumstances. You probably should include a quick review of the facts and the decisions in regard to the cases. However, don't forget to include your opinions and reasoning in regard to the cases.

1. In 1986, the Supreme Court issued its first sexual harassment decision. The case, Meritor Savings Bank v Vinson, provided employers with the Court's interpretation of how sexual harassment is viewed under EEOC guidelines. Do a search of this case on the Internet. Write a short summary of the facts of the case, the question answered by the Court, and the Court's conclusion.

2. Do a search on the Internet or some other way on the case involving the drug maker, Novartis (2010). Be sure to research the case dealing with the sex-bias suit in 2010 (Velez vs Novartis Corp).  What were the facts of this case? Which part of the law is involved with this case? Did this case involve a job detriment? Write a short summary of the facts and decision in this case.

3. As we have discussed, not all harassment is sexual, even though this is probably the most common. On October 30, 2000, the EEOC settled a racial harassment suit against Florida Citrus Grower Sun Ag, Inc. You can review this case at the following site: https://www.eeoc.gov/press/10-30-00.html on the Internet. Briefly write the details of the case. What were the court's findings in this case? Do you believe this was a clear-cut case of harassment? Was the filing of the suit the only answer according to the details presented? If you had been a manager in this company, what would you personally have done to remedy this situation? Do you agree with the monetary settlement amount? Write your thinking about this case taking care to answer each question posed. You may add your ideas in addition.

4. Search the internet for a current law suit (2013 or later) involving harassment of some type--sexual, racial, workers' compensation cases, etc. Name the participants in the suit and give the particulars of the situation that caused the law suit. What was the court's decision in the case? Did the case go to a higher court before it was settled? Will this be a landmark case for future harassment suits.
