Question: Makeup 20 different molecules with the dash wedge structure. These are structures you come up with for example, one structure can be 2,3-dichloroheptane. Use the different substituents you learned to come up with your molecules. Place dash and wedges on each chiral centers. Five molecules you make up must have two chiral centers. Five molecules you make up must have three chiral centers, and five molecules make up must have four chiral centers. You have to be creative and decide what molecules you wish to come up with on your own.
Follow the process below:
First draw the line angle structure of the molecule. For example, 2,3-dichlorooctane. You must have dash and wedges on each chiral center.
Next assign the absolute configuration(assign R or S to each chiral center) to the line/angle structure.
Third, convert each line angle to a Fischer Projection. Make sure your absolute configurations the same between the line angle dash wedge structure and the Fischer projection.
Fourth, make an enantiomer of the line angle structure that you have drawn. Draw Fischer Projection of enantiomer.
Fifth, make a diastereomer of the line each line angle structure you have drawn. Draw Fischer Projection of diastereomer. Part 2: Is the picture I uploaded Draw the Fischer Projection & Name each with R, S notation.
