-normal or near normal strength in flexing and extending his elbows and wrists -no ability to flex his hips, extend his knees, or dorsiflex his ankles. -normal stretch reflexes involving the biceps, brachioradialis, and triceps muscles -absent reflexes in the patella and ankle -normal sensitivity to pin prick and light tough above the level of his groin -no sensitivity to pin prick below the level of his groin, but sensitivity to light touch on right side of his body below that level
