A uniform disk of radius R=0.50m and mass, M=10kg is free to rotate about an axle through its center. A mass m=1.0kg is attached to an ideal cord which is wound around the rim of the disk. The 1=kg mass is released from rest. What is the acceleration of the mass m? What is the net torque on the disk about the center of the disk? If the disk starts from rest, what will its angular speed be after 10 revolutions?
