A block of mass 4.0 kg is attached to a string and the string is attached to a spring(k=32.0N/m). The string goes over a pulley of mass 8.0 kg and radius 10.0cm. The pulley is in the shape of a solid disk and the string moves along the circumference without slipping. Assume the friction at the bearing of the disk is negligible. The system is released from rest.

(a) What is the speed of the block after it falls 30cm?

(b) What is the maximum extension of the spring?
