Problem: A block with mass 20 kg rests on a ramp that is inclined at 53 degrees above the horizontal. A light rope passes over a light frictionless pulley and connects the 20 kg block to a 6 kg block that hangs vertically in the air. When the system is released from rest the 6 kg block moves upward 0.26m in 0.5 s.

Part I: What is the magnitude of the acceleration of the 20kg block as it slides down the ramp?

Part II: While the blocks are moving, what is the tension in the rope?

Part III: What is the magnitude of the friction force that the ramp exerts on the 20 kg block?

Part IV: What is the coefficient of kinetic friction between the block and the surface of the ramp?
