A company is developing a new hard plastic material to replace glass in home windows.

a) For a standard glass window (2 feet wide, 3 feet high, 1/4 " thickness), determine the heat flow rate if the outside temperature is 15°C higher than the inside temperature.

b) Find what conductivity should the plastic material have if it reduces the heat flow to 400 Watt under the same conditions?
