Compute each part of following problem:

Problem: A ring-shaped conductor with radius a = 2.50cm has a total positive charge Q = 0.125 nC uniformly distributed around it. The center of the ring is at the origin of coordinates, (x,y,z) = (0,0,0).

Part A: What is the electric field (magnitude and direction) at a point with coordinates (x, y, z) = (40.0cm, 0, 0)?

Part B: A point charge q = ?2.50?C is placed at the point described in part (a). What are the magnitude and direction of the force exerted by the charge on the ring?

I've been having quite a bit of trouble understanding this problem, Thank You so much for your help. Thanks.
