The resistance of the field circuit of a shunt-excited dc generator is 200?. When the output power of the generator is 100kW, the terminal voltage is 500V and the generated e.m.f is 525V. Calculate: (i) the armature resistance and (ii) the value of the generated e.m.f when the output power is 60kW if the terminal voltage then is 520V.
