John's house is served electrically by a single phase transformer rated 15 kVA, 8160 / 220 V, 60 Hz. The leakage reactance of the transformer is 400 ohms referred to the high side. John wants to replicate an interesting EEE 360 experiment, and so he disconnects the transformer, he takes it off the pole, and he performs a short circuit test. In that test he short circuits the low voltage side. Then he applies |Vhigh| to the high voltage side and he varies |Vhigh| until the current in the high voltage side is twice rated current. Find |Vhigh| to obtain twice rated current as described.
