Annual Report Project

Demonstrate your ability to find the yearly financial statements that a public company files with the SEC. Prepare a report discussing your findings and utilize financial ratios in the report.

Details: Select a publicly traded company in which you are interested. You cannot use our class example which was The Home Depot. Go to sec.gov. Find the year-end financial statements for that company. You are looking for a document called a 10-K.

1) Print the Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Statement of Retained Earnings, and Statement of Cash Flows.
2) Select 3 financial ratios from your textbook and use the ratios to analyze the financial statements.
3) Prepare a typed report. Include in your report a description of your company, the financial ratios that you used and your calculations, an explanation of the results of your financial ratios, and a short paragraph stating if you would invest in this company-be sure to explain why you would or why you would not invest in this company.
