Problem- Methane enters a heat exchanger at a volumetric flow rate of 150.0 m3/min, at an absolute pressure of 1.013 bar and temperature of 30.0°C. At these conditions, the specific enthalpy of methane is 10.223 kJ/kg. The methane leaves the heat exchanger at an absolute pressure of 1.013 bar and temperature of 70.0°C. The corresponding specific enthalpy at these conditions is 102.008 kJ/kg. The methane is heated by a stream of saturated steam entering the heat exchanger at 2.2 bar (absolute) and leaving as a liquid at 50.0°C. Find the volumetric flow rate of saturated steam into the heat exchanger by following the steps below.
It is not a question in the book, so I just need the full solution of deriving!
The pressure was exerted with a piston on molten naphthalene at 95 degrees C. The vapor pressure of naphthalene under 1.0bar is 2.0kPa and its density is 0.962g/cm^3. What is its vapor pressure when the pressure on the liquid is 15MPa
In an oversight in the experiment Jamie did not add the 4-5 additional drops of 6M HNO3. As a result, will the reported number of moles of oxygen be too high or too low in the final product. Explain.
Calculate the volumes of 0.20M acetic acid, 0.20M sodium acetate, and pure water needed to make 20.00 mL of a buffer having pH=5.00. Repeat analogous, seperate calculations for buffers having pH=4.00 and pH=6.00
If a mixture containing 1.0 moles of A, 4.0 moles of B and 6.0 moles of C is allowed to react according to the equation: 2A + 2B + 6C ? 4D + 3E
Compare the natural chemistry that takes place in the environment with the chemistry that takes place due to man made factors like pollution. Discuss the effect of pollution at the local, regional, national, and global level.

What is the concentration of the HNO3 solution? (b) How many moles of NaOH were in excess after the first addition?
A 248 gas sample has a mass of 0.433 g at a pressure of 745 mm Hg and a temperature of 28 C. What is the molar mass of the gas?
Which of the following pairs of molecules is listed in order of decreasing net dipole moment (from more polar molecule to less polar molecule)
The average kinetic energy of the molecules in a gas sample depends only on the temperature, T. But given the same kinetic energies, a lighter molecule will move faster than a heavier molecule.
Lanthanum has two naturally occuring isotopes. 0.089% of lanthanum atoms are 138La and the rest are 139La. Estimate the average atomic mass of lanthanum, to the nearest tenth of an atomic mass unit.
Given that the bond length of HBr is 1.41 A, estimate the dipole moment of this molecule by assuming a charge of 1+ on H and 1- on Br.
