1) A car of mass 1054 kg moves NE at 20.12 m/s, and collides with another car of mass 1233 kg moving 27.72 m/s at 20.0° E of S. After the collision, both cars slide with their wheels not rolling; the coefficient of friction between the pavement and the tires is 0.532. The lighter car moves 8.58 m/s at 15.0° W of S after the collision. Determine:

a. The velocity of the heavier car after the collision;

b. The respective distances each car moves after the collision before coming to a stop;

c. The loss of energy due to the collision.
