A 2-D reducing bend (of unit width w) is shown below. Note that flow enters the bend at section 1 with a linear velocity profile, but at sections 2 and 3 is uniform. Find the velocity at section 3.

Section 1: h=2ft; Vmax=10 ft/s

Section 2: h=1ft; Vmax= 15 ft/s

Section 3: h=1.5ft; exit at section three is angled 60 degrees from the horizontal.
