An electron moves in a uniform electric field directed along the x axis and uniform magnetic field along the y axis. It starts from rest at the origin. Show that it moves in a cycloidal path and drift velocity or the velocity of the center of the rolling circle along the z axis. If the electric field is 10^4 volts/cm, and the magnetic field 10^4 gausses.find the value of the drift velocity.
