Car C of mass 0.300 ± 0.001 kilogram has a speed of 2.12± 0.03 m/s and moves in the positive X direction. Car D of mass 0.320 ± 0.001 kilogram and a speed of 0.50 ± 0.05 m/s and moves in the negative X direction. The two carts collide. After the collision, cart C has a speed of 0.523 ± 0.022 m/s in the positive X direction and cart D has a speed measured as 0.187± 0.024 m/s in the negative X direction.
