Four charges, two positive charges on the x-axis and two negative charges on the y-axis sit at a distance a = 9.5 centimeter from the origin. Another positive point charge with charge Q = 61 (mu)C is placed at point on the x-axis a distance b = 1.5 meter to the right of this arrangement. The positive and negative charges have charge of q = 6 (mu)C and -6 (mu)C correspondingly.
a. Write an expression for the component of the force in the x-direction on the point charge at P due to the negative charges.
b. Write an expression for the x-component of the force on the point charge due to the nearest positive charge.
c. Write an expression for the expression for the x-component of the force on the point charge due to the farthest positive charge.
d. Find the total force in the x-direction on the point charge.
A sphere of radius R is uniformly charged to a total charge of Q. It is made to spin about an axis that passes through its center with an angular speed ω. Find the magnitude of the resulting magnetic field at the center of the sphere.
A resistor is in the shape of a cube, with each side of resistance R . Find the equivalent resistance between any two of its adjacent corners.
