Question 1: For the Magnetic Circuit assuming the stacking factor is 0.98, determine:

(i) the flux Φc (weber) in the Centre leg;

(ii) the Total flux ΦT (weber) in the Left Limb;

(iii) the Total Core Reluctance R (At/Wb);

(iv) the dc coil current I (amps).

Question 2: In the magnetic circuit shown in Figure 2, a 400 turn coil on the left leg of the core is required to produce a flux of 1.4 mWb in the right leg.

The thickness of the magnetic circuit is 0.04 m and is uniform throughout, The magnetic circuit is constructed with laminated silicon steel the characteristics of which are given below.
