Compute each part of given problem:
Problem: A deuteron (a neutron and a proton) has a mass of 3.34 x 1027 kg and a charge of +e. The deuteron travels in a circular path with a radius of 6.96 mm in a magnetic field with the magnitude 2.5T.
Part I: Draw the trajectory, and assuming that the magnetic field is pointing perpendicularly into the plane of the paper, mark the velocity and magnetic force. Find the speed of the deuteron.
Part II: Find the time required for it to make one half of a revolution.
Part III: Through what potential difference would the deuteron have to be accelerated to acquire this speed?
