A 350 gram stone is swung in a circular path, on a 60 centimeter length of string and in a vertical plane. The tangential velocity at the bottom of the circle is 7.2 m/s. Hint this is partially an energy problem.

a. Find the tension in the string at the bottom of circle?

b. Find the tangential speed of the stone at the top of the circle?

c. Find the tension in the string at the top of the circle?

d. Find the minimum speed for the stone at the top of the circle such that the string will not collapse?
