Question: A rotary heat exchanger can be idealized as a sleeve of radius R, width t, and thickness S rotating steadily with angular frequency ω (Fig.). One-half of the sleeve is in an ambient at temperature T1; the second half is in another ambient at temperature T2. Find the temperature distribution of and the heat transfer from the exchanger.
