An insulating membrane separates conducting fluids inside and outside an unmyelinated axon, a type of nerve fiber. A certain unmyelated axon has a capacitance of 0.01 F per square metre of a surface area and is a cylinder 2.5 x 10^-6 m in radius and 0.1 m long.

A) Find the surface area and capacitance of the axon.

B) If the potential difference across the membrane is 0.09 V, how much electrical energy is stored in the axon?
