A 348 g mass is hung on a spring with a spring constant of 25 N/m.

(a) Find the stretch of the spring when the mass is in equilibrium.

(b) If the mass is lifted 3 cm from equilibrium and then released, find the period of the oscillation.

(c) If the mass instead is hung on a string, pulled to an angle of 16o from the vertical and released, how long should the string be made to obtain twice the period obtained in part (b)?
