A nonconducting sphere of charge +Q and mass m is attached to a string of length L and hangs from a ceiling. When a uniform electric field directed horizontally (from left to right) is introduced, equilibrium is eventually established with the mass hanging at an angle with respect to the vertical. In terms of g and the given quantities, find the strength of the electric field and the tension in the string.
