A block of mass M is at rest on a frictionless horizontal surface and is attached to a spring of spring constant k as shown in the figure. Another block of mass M is pushed towards the first block with speed The two blocks collide and stick together and the system begins to oscillate.

Find the speed of the two blocks immediately after the collision.
