Question:  A researcher notices on his morning commute that as the announced "time-late" increases, other commuters around him check their watch less frequently. Interested in this relationship, the researcher conducts an experiment over the next few weeks. Each morning he first chooses a commuter at random. Once the train is late, he begins observing the subject noting the number of times he/she checks the time. He continues to count until the train arrives.
