For the motor of Problem 6.21, assume that the core losses are 35 W and the rotational losses are 14 W. Find the output power and efficiency when running at a slip of 5 percent.

3Problem 6.21

A single-phase induction motor takes an input power of 280 W at a power factor of 0.6 lagging from a 110-V supply when running at a slip of 5 percent. Assume that the rotor resistance and reactance are 3.38 and 2.6 Ω, respectively, and that the magnetizing reactance is 60 Ω. Find the resistance and the reactance of the motor.
