A rigid massless rod is rotated about one end in a horizontal circle. There is a particle of mass m1 attached to the center of the rod and a particle of mass m2 attached to the outer end of the rod. The inner section of the rod sustains a tension that is 4 times as great as the tension that the outer section sustains. Find the ratio m1/m2.
