A process is to be tuned by transient response to quarter amplitude using a PID controller. The system control temperature varies from to with a set point. The output is a heater control voltage ranging from 0 to 24 V.

The test is started with the system having a 14-V output. The output is increased suddenly to 16.5 V. The resulting temperature graph is shown in Figure. Find the proper PID gain.
