Q. A transmission line is constructed using strips of copper foil to construct a very long parallel plate capacitor. The length is L, the width is W and the plate separation is h. This gives a surface current density K in the upper plate toward the resistor and returning to the battery in the lower plate. the potential difference produces a surface charge +σ on the upper plate and -σ on the lower plate.
