Question: Solve the given problems.

The cross section of a drainage trough has the shape of an isosceles triangle whose depth is 12 cm less than its width. If the depth is increased by 16 cm and the width remains the same, the area of the cross section is increased by 160 cm2 Find the original depth and width. See Fig.
