A 100 ohm lossless air transmission line is terminated in a load impedance ZL= 30 + j25. Using a Smith Chart and the crankshaft D diagram, obtain the following:
i) A table of values of the normalized magnitude of the voltage phasor on the line as a function of position on the line, with the normalization done relative to the value of the voltage magnitude at the voltage maximum point on the line. You are to specifically find the normalized voltage magnitude values at the load plane and the voltage maxima and minima points on the line and 9 additional points which are spaced at intervals of 0.05 from the load plane, i.e., at a total of 12 points.
ii) Repeat i) but now for the normalized current magnitude on the line, again for the same 12 points, and with normalization done relative to the current magnitude at the current maximum point.
iii) From the data obtained in i) and ii), plot the voltage and current standing-wave patterns on the same graph. What value do you get for VSWR S from your voltage standing wave pattern? Does this value check with the value read directly off the Smith Chart?
For each one of the 3 frequency responses, H(f), in parts (a), (b), and (c) do the following: i. Obtain the system's impulse response, h(t). ii. Indicate if the system is BIBO stable or not, and state why. iii. Indicate if the system is causal or not..
In the presentation, the presenter, Mr. Rob Tucker discussed three types of disturbance mitigation responses or measures. List the three mitigation types and give a short definition of each of the mitigation type.
1) How would you identify the anode of an unmarked diode using a DMM (Digital Multimeter) 2) Explain how the clamping circuit adds or subtracts a DC component to an input voltage.
Determine the settings Z1, Z2 & Z3 for the relay at B12.
How is the problem-solving process different when programming in assembly language versus programming in ladder logic?
Determine the requirements of the digital fiters needed and design and write the dierence equations for the digital fiters.
1- Find the voltage across the inductor for t > 0 2- Sketch the voltage and the current as a function of time 3- Find the power ( in microwatts) at the terminals of the inductor when t = 200 ms
Suppose a data array has 30 numbers sorted from low to high already, where no two numbers are equal. We need to search whether any of the two randomly given key numbers, key1 and key2 is in the array. If yes, then find out the position index(es) f..
You need to upgrade your crystallizer. Your company bought a new 1000 ft2 crystallizer 5 years ago for $450,000. You believe that your company has expanded sufficiently to need a 5000 ft2 crystallizer. What is the price in today's dollars
PLC 2 In a motor control system, one master stop pushbutton (Stop) is available for stopping the operation at any time. If the temperature switch (TSW) is closed, pressing the red pushbutton (RedPB) will turn on both motors M1 and M2.
Write the verilog code for a circuit that counts the number of 1s in a byte. Write the verilog code using a structural approach based on four Half-Adders, two 2-bit adders and one 3-bit adder. Write the test bench code to test the design.
Prepare an Excel graph showing the individual components and summated resultant waveform of the odd harmonic series resulting in an approximate square wave.
