A Capacitor is constructed with an area A=1.0cm2, a plate seperation d=1.0mm and a dielectric with K=10.

A) Suppose you were to disconnnect the battery (without losing any of the charge on the plates) and then remove the dielectric medium. What would be the new voltage across the plates?

B) Suppose a negative charge were placed next to the negative charged plate of the capacitor. What velocity will the particle gain by the time it strikes the positive plate?
