A merry-go-round (I= 500 kg m^2) of radius R = 2 meters is rotating about a frictionless pivot, making one revolution every 5 seconds. A child of mass 25 kg originally standing at the center walks out to the rim. The child has a moment of interia, I = mr^2 when at a distance r from the center. Assume the system to be the child and the merry-go-round.
