Question: Electrons accelerated through a potential difference V pass through a narrow slit and strike the face of a cubic crystal, as shown in Fig. When an electron detector (an ammeter) is placed in the position shown, a maximum current is recorded on the meter when V = 50 volts.

a. What is the kinetic energy of the electrons after passing through the anode slit?

b. Find the momentum of these electrons in units of eV/c. If an approximation can be used, then do so, but explain clearly why its use is justified.
