A PAM telemetry system involves the multiplexing of four input signals: si (t), i = 1, 2 3, 4. Two of the signals s1 (t) and s2 (t) have bandwidths of 80 Hz each, whereas the remaining two signals s3 (t) and s4 (t) have bandwidths of 1 kHz each. The signals s3 (t) and s4 (1) are each sampled at the rare of 2400 samples per second. This sampling rate is divided by 2R (i.e., an integer power of 2.) to derive the sampling rate for s1 (t) and s2 (1).
(a) Find the maximum value of R.
(b) Using the value of R found in part (a), design a multiplexing system that first multi-plexes s1 (t) and s2 (t) into a new sequence, s5 (t), and then multiplexes s3 (t), s4 (t), and s5 (t).
Liquid water enters at state 3: 10?C, at the rate of 400 kg per hour. A single air vapor flow exits the unit at state 4: 40?C. Calculate the relative humidity of the exit flow and the rate of heat transfer to the unit.
Calculate bearings and distances of the roads chords and secants.Whilst it is acceptable to use CAD to present your answers the exercise becomes trivial if it is used to calculate the solution. Calculations should be made with a programmable calcu..
Adopt a condensing power plant with a feedwater tank (MV) with the wiring diagram and information - High-pressure turbines are isentropic efficiency of 0.88.
An office window has dimensions 3.4 m by 2.1 m. As a result of the passage of a storm, the outside air pressure drops to 0.96 atm, but inside the pressure is held at 1.0 atm. What net force pushes out on the window?
Write a program in the machine language of the SIMMAC
Write a program to find the sum of the elements of an array called list1. The size of list1 is four bytes. The values of list1 are $FF, $1, $FE, and $02. To check your work, the sum should become $0200
The office processes an average of 14,500 samples per year. Assuming the average data entry/filing person in the office makes $11.50 per hour; determine the cost of the problem
Determine coefficients a1, a2, a3, a4, and a5 so that the finite difference approximation is 4th order accurate. You can use Taylor's series expansions, the method of undetermined coefficients or Lagrange polynomial approximation for your derivati..
CEE 357 Winter 2014. HW#7 Assignment, Environmental engineering, Analysis of the movement of a tracer in a contaminated aquifer indicates that the local Darcy velocity is 1.2 m/d. For approximately what fraction of that time do you think the contami..
Write the equation for a triangular membership function that is independent of the center point and the width.
Consider a fan located in a 3 ft = 3 ft square duct. Velocities at various points at the outlet are measured, and the average flow velocity is determined to be 22 ft/s. Taking the air density to 0.075 lbm/ft3 estimate the minimum electric power co..
Calculate Heat capacity for both heat and cold flow - Since cold flow has higher heat capacity rate means hot flow has lower heat capacity rate
