A speck of clay of mass m = 0.01 kg strikes and stick to a wooden block of mass M = 0.99 kg, which rests on a frictionless horizontal surface and is attached to a spring with spring constant k = 100 N/m. The impact compresses the spring 10 cm.

a) Find the maximum potential energy of the spring (when compressed 10 cm).
b) Find the velocity V of the block (with clay) just after impact.
c) Find the initial velocity v of the clay.
